Hello MS Families!

My name is Kristen Petrytus, and I am so excited to be the SCORE teacher for Mountain Shadows this year.
I have worked with students for over 10 years, and I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment where students feel respected, encouraged, and celebrated for who they are. I truly believe that all students can learn and succeed when they are given the right tools, time, and support.

In our classroom, we focus on:

• Individualized instruction tailored to meet each student’s needs
• Structured routines to provide consistency and reduce anxiety
• Visual supports and hands-on learning to enhance understanding
• Positive behavior supports to encourage growth and independence
• Communication and collaboration with families and support staff
