Gifted Testing Information :
When can my child be tested?
The next gifted testing session will be November 2024.
- Mountain Shadows tests three times a year
- Testing usually takes place on campus in August, December, & February
- The district office also conducts testing for out of district students for a fee
Can my child retest?
Yes, students can retest; however, tests can only be taken once per calendar year.
The CogAt and NGAT tests have three sections; verbal, nonverbal and quantitative; the standard qualifying score is 97% or above.
A letter will be sent home to indicate a child's score and program placement, usually 4 weeks after testing.
